Presentation
Europe's Journal of Psychology is a quarterly peer-reviewed publication of psychology that gives you free online access to original studies, research, critical contributions, interviews and book reviews written by and intended for both psychologists and psychology students worldwide.
EJOP is meant to facilitate communication between students and specialists, and to give them access to high-quality professional information, thus fostering the scientific psychological community of Europe . Although primarily targeted at a European public, EJOP will gladly host contributions from psychologists irrespective of their geographical location.
EJOP's main objectives are to expand, on the one hand, the publication space offered to students and, on the other hand, to increase the number of psychology journals that take a more generalist and eclectic approach on psychology issues given the current tendency to produce rather highly specialized works.
Therefore, the journal was conceived in such a manner as to be accessible to both students and professionals and also to a very large area of scientific psychological 'genres' and schools. Its structure gives room to a very diverse, eclectic and multidisciplinary range of psychology studies and research:
- Editorial – editors, teachers, professionals and specialists are going to express their views on the way psychology is practiced in Europe and worldwide, the role it plays in social life and the way this role is perceived by the large public, the importance of research in psychology and the best means to develop and expand it, the relevance psychology can have in building a culturally and scientifically challenging and sound Europe, and so on.
- Interview – well known personalities in the field of psychology and related areas are going to express their opinions regarding a wide range of contemporary psychology issues and the latest developments in their area of expertise.
- Europe's Im-Pulse – the column is dedicated to the analysis of the processes and structures of EU with a particular focus on psychological and social dimensions. Thus EJOP wants to offer a psychological perspective on present issues such as the EU, European identity, European consciousness and citizenship, European culture, European history, democracy, unity and diversity, globalization and localization, civic and social responsibility etc. We hope that this section will raise our awareness with respect to how we, as present or future psychologists, could contribute to a better understanding of the EU processes and structures.
- Research Reports – psychology research, independent of orientation or school, carried out by psychologists and psychology students, individually or in groups.
- Theoretical Contributions – articles relying on original and creative approaches of a wide range of psychology themes, having at their core the proposal of new concepts, theories or models. Interdisciplinary works are most encouraged.
- Literature Reviews – critical analysis of existing scientific psychology literature offering an original perspective on already validated and accepted theories, concepts or models.
- Book Reviews – see Section Book Reviews.
You are therefore invited to submit an article following the instructions and requirements presented in the section Submission Guidelines .
