Between 20 and 21 of May, in the same time with the National Conference of the Psychologists it took place in Cluj the International Symposium Developmental Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience with the participation of the renown psychologists: Dr. Charles Nelson - Harvard Medical School, USA; Dr. Nathan Fox – University of Maryland, USA; Dr. Heather Henderson - University of Miami, USA; Dr. Leslie Carver – University of California, San Diego, USA.

The thesis and the workshop approached the latest studies and researches in cognition and neuroscience: „A cognitive neuroscience approach to memory development”, „The development and neural bases of face processing”-Prof. Charles NELSON- Harvard Medical School, USA; „The attention-emotion interface: Understanding how emotion affects attention”, „The biology of individual differences: Fear and reward circuits and child temperament” Dr. Nathan Fox – University of Maryland, USA; „Executive functions: Contributions to developmental and individual differences in self-regulation”, „Phenotypic variability among high functioning children with autism: The role of executive functions” Dr. Heather Henderson - University of Miami; „Executive functions and social cognition: Implications for the development of autism”, „Face processing, emotion recognition, and social cognition in children with autism and children at risk for autism” Dr. Leslie Carver – University of California, San Diego, USA.
